Just Arrived to Edmonton,
soooooooooo cold!
seems like winter and grayworld, but actually I like it.

Back on the road.
I’ve got my VISA in hand, so with this in mind, I am returning to the North American tour. Although there is nothing that we could have been done, I’m really sorry about the first three stops on the tour having to be cancelled. So for starters, it is the super cold Edmonton, Canada. Accompanying me on this trip will be the new, long awaited album by “KINGS OF CONVENIENCE”... it's beautiful.

という訳で、ビザも問題なく手元に届いたので、本来の北米ギグの旅に戻ります。

前半の３つは不可抗力とは言えキャンセルになってホントに申し訳ないです。

先ずは極寒のカナダはエドモントン。

旅のお供はKings Of Convenienceの久しぶりの新作アルバム、美しい。

どうやらいない筈のひとに遭遇すると皆さんテンションあがるようで、
先週末はそこここでパーティーがあって夜は当然仕事もないので数件ご挨拶に。
で、いく先々で、「あれ？アメリカDJツアーじゃないの？」となり、
理由を話して、「まーまーじゃあ乾杯しましょう」となり、そこから
とりとめも無く飲み続け朝になるというここ数日のパターン。

なかでも当初行けないはずだった友人のお誕生会に出れたのはよかったです。
彼のバースデーは毎年壮絶な結末を迎えるんですが、今年も凄かった。

という訳で身体を休める休暇にはなってはいませんが、心的にはなかなかよい
インターバルをもらってるような気がします。

木曜から旅路に戻りますが、体調整えて挑みたいとおもいます。

ようやくアメリカの労働ビザ（向こう3年）がおりた！
でもちょっと遅過ぎました。
なので直近の3つのギグキャンセルを余儀なくされました。
ニューヨーク、カルガリー、サンディエゴの皆さん本当にごめんなさい。
日程を改めて是非行きたいです。

これほど熱烈歓迎されるとは思ってもみませんでした。

ロンドンからの入国はかなり厳しく、想像を絶する面倒くささでしたが、
まー終わってしまえば全て笑い話。

海沿いのコンプレックスの中に作られた3つのフロアは、一階部分がそくビーチに繋がって
出入り出来、二階の一番大きなフロアの横は素敵なレストラン。
「音楽と美味しい食事と海」
ある意味一つの理想的なナイトクラビングの形ではないでしょうか。

それにしてもラテンの国での僕のDJ的モテっぷりは自分でいうのもなんですが、
ちょっと凄いです。気性が合うから音も反応が似てるのか、DJ人格がラテンなのか
不明ですが、とにかく、本番終わって一体どれだけの人に賞賛＆ハグをされたことか。

バルセロナからご夫婦参加の先輩もとっても喜んでもらって、仕事って言ったら申し訳ない
ほどこの最終地点でのパーティーは楽しかった。

場所を山手の海が一望出来る小高い丘の上のお店に移して行われたアフターパーティーでも
朝9時からDJしました。そしてふとデッキに出ると朝焼け。
この景色に色んな思いを馳せつつホテルに帰還。
今日は完全おやすみ、何もせず、旅の疲れをとって明日帰路につきます。

I didn’t think I would be getting this warm of a welcome! LOL
It was incredibly hard getting into Spain from London. I mean, you can’t even imagine how insanely tedious it was. And well, now that it is all over I can’t help but laugh.

The complex itself, which had three floors, was close to the ocean. You could enter from the 1st floor, which was also connected to the beach. There was a delightful restaurant on the 2nd floor, next to what was the largest dance floor. One could say that enjoying good music, good food and the ocean all came together in the form of this idyllic nightclub. The original plan was to only have a party of this scale once a year, but it seems that they are actually holding a party this size every month.

I don’t mean to come off the wrong way, but my style of DJing seems to go over really well in Latin countries. I don’t know if it is because of a match in chemistry that causes this reaction to the music, or if my DJing is just Latin or what… After it was ever, I got so much praise and so many hugs. (All at the same time nonetheless.) My married seniors were also around, and gave lots of love. This party was so much fun that it almost feels wrong to call this last stop on the trip work.

For the after party, we moved to a shop on a small hill where you could see an excellent view. I played there again from 9 in the morning. After that I went out on the deck for some of that morning glow. I had many memories floating around as I made my way back to the hotel.

Today was a real vacation; did nothing… I’ll get some rest, recuperate and head back to Japan.

ロンドン

一日だけの滞在でロンドンに来るなんて初めて。今回ワーキングパーミット書面で用意していったのに
こんな時に限ってイミグレーション超ゆるゆる、ろくに見もせずスルー。

ファブリックは昨年に続いて二度目ですが、今回も大役CLOSERで4時半からラストの6時まで。
で、今回は10周年なので、盛り上がりは絶対。
同じルームでの競演はTHE SUBS、FILTHY DUKESやSIMIAN MOBILE DISCO。
れいによってここんちのサウンドシステムはめちゃ優秀なのですが、故に機材を持ち込むのに制限があります。
今回は最終のマスターにEFX1000は絶対許可出来ない、との理由でやむなくミキサーをクラブ指定のもので。
でもまー始まってしまえばなんの事はありません。
定時にSMDから引き継いでラストまで完全やりきりでした。
惜しむらくは、僕がラストの曲の終わり10何秒ってとこでクラブ側があと15分やってほしい、周年だし！
って言って来て、終わりの終わりで急に言われても対応出来ないと判断した我らに、なにやら不服のよう。
って、だーれも悪くないのにね。でもとにかく素敵な10周年に参加出来て光栄。

さあ、用意して今回の最終地点スペインはガルシア地方LA CORUNAでのフェスに向かいます。

LONDON
It was my first time ever to be allowed in with just a glance. Even though I got all my paperwork together along with the working permit, this time, for whatever reason, the reception was lackluster; they barely bothered to look at the documents before letting me through.

Continuing from last year, this is my second time to play a big role at Club FABRIC as the closer (4:30-6:00). Because this was the 10th year anniversary party, it was destined to pick up! I played in the same room as THE SUBS, FILTHY DUKES, and others like SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO. As always, the sound system there is excellent, but there is a limit to the amount of equipment one can bring in. This time after the final check, the decision against using the EFX-1000 was made so I just ended up using the house mixer. But as soon as it got rolling there were no problems. I pled a killer set right on time after SMD. It’s too bad but with only about 10 seconds left in my last song, the club asked if I could play another 15 minutes!? Well it was the anniversary and all but… at the end of the END!

They seemed a little disappointed about our not being able to comply with the request. But no on is to blame! It was a great 10th year anniversary party, and an honor to take part in it. As always, enjoy the party report and pics!

So now, it’s off to the last stop, a festival in the Garcia area at LA CORUNA.

バルセロナ
二日間の滞在で僕はiPhone、マネージャーはデジカメを盗まれました。
それでもなんだか全然嫌いじゃないキュートな街バルセロナ。
またすぐ来たいと思わせる何かがある街。

ギグの日の午後、遅めのランチを知人というより先輩とご一緒させてもらいました。
昨年結婚して今年夫婦でロンドンからバルセロナに拠点をうつした彼をして、
「大沢伸一は今東京から世界に出るべき」、、結構頑張って海外出てるつもり
だけど、彼は僕の制作の拠点をも東京、日本ではない何処かにしたほうが良いと仰る。
んー非常に刺激を受け、考えさせられる言葉でありました。

さ、次の目的地ロンドンへいざ～。

BARCELONA
Over the two days we spent there, I had my iphone, and my manager, had his digital camera stolen.
Even with that, I don’t hate the place… there’s something “nice” about Barcelona. It’s just the kind of city that makes you want to visit there again and again.

On the day of the gig, I had the honor of a late lunch with a person who is more a senior associate than an acquaintance. After getting married last year, they moved their base of operations from London to Barcelona as a married couple. He said to me, “It’s time for you to leave Tokyo and get out into the world.”

And that “my base of operations for production work should be somewhere outside of Tokyo, Japan.”
(I thought I was doing a good amount of getting out there but…)
It was some really powerful advice. So for my next goal…. heading out to London. As

文字通り台風一過な本日の東京地方、皆さん無事ですか〜？

台湾から戻ってここ数日風邪なのか過労なのか不調です。

とはいえ明日からの3連続ギグ正面突破でがんばります。

釜山のみなさん、京都HOMEのみ「な」さん、大阪クレイジーなみなさん

よろしくです。

ギグ翌日の昨日台北で休日。

台湾で一番高いビル101（101メートル）に上ったり、今台湾で一番ホットな
遊び、「エビ釣り」をしたり、犬の店長がいるマッサージにいったり、
法外に辛い火鍋を食べたりして過ごしました。
雨の降り続き方もまったく好みの範疇で申し分の無い休暇でした。

東京地方は雨ですねー、リセットの雨な感じでしょうか。
僕は元々雨大好きですが、この季節の雨は一年の中で最も好きです。
こんな日は京都の龍安寺の庭なんか観ながらだらだらしてみたいですね。

明日の台湾でのDJギグがちょっと面倒な事になってます。

元々はビーチでのパーティーだったのが主催者の都合でコンベンションセンター内に移り、
今度はその場所が今頃になって許諾を撤回、で今会場＝クラブを大急ぎで手配中。
前売りが相当数出てるらしく、混乱は必至。でも当日ちゃんとパーティーになることを祈るのみ。
