朝、NimaとNicoからの電話で起こされ、11時にはロビーにいて、そこから都合8時間以上
朝飯食べようって言われたままずーっと出ずっぱり。
先ずは巨大なブロック柄が石の床に描かれた広場、これ実は人間が仮装してチェスの駒になる広場。
ホントに中世の衣装を着て、ナイトは馬に乗ってやる「リアルチェス」驚き。
ここら辺は非常に可愛い街で、ここでブリオッシュとカプチーノで朝ご飯。

This morning I awoke to a call from Nima and Nico, saying to meet in the lobby at 11. And from there, after eating breakfast, we were out for more than 8 hours. First there was a huge block patterned market place, where people dress up and play as chess pieces. People dressed up in middle age clothing and knights on horseback, I was surprised by this “Real Chess.” While eating Brioche and drinking cappuccino, I had breakfast here; this is a really “cute” area.

その後、その広場から見上げる山を上った崩れたお城跡に。
ここ半端なく見晴らしがいいんだけど、マジ怖い！足が竦んだの久しぶり。

After that, we went to some castle remains that overlook that market place. The view from there is astonishingly beautiful but it was really scary! It’s been a long time since my legs froze with fear.

みんなでUnaを迎えに行き、移動してバッサーノ・デル・グラッパっていうグラッパの里のような街で
Lucaとbloody beetrootsの二人を交えて食事、ホント丘の上に勝手に作ったようなカフェ。
ここで、出る何でもないサラダもブリュスケッタも信じらんないくらい美味。
今回出来た友達、Nico、Una、Lucaこの三人はすごい仲良し、この三人でパーティーはじめたっぽい。

We all went together to pick-up Una. While going to Bassano del Grappa, which is the home of Grappa, we met up with Luca and The Bloody Beetroots for a meal on top of a hill at a café that seemed like it was thrown together. There was a marginal salad and almost unbelievably delicious Bruschetta. The three friends that I made this time, Nico, Una, and Luca, were really close, but this seemed to be their first party.

彼ら＋僕とBooでそのままその丘の芝生エリアで、ブランケット敷いて昼寝したりビール飲んだり、
最初は5人だったのに気がつけば友達あつまって総勢20人くらいでだらだら話したり、でもって気がついたら
4時間くらいだらだらしてて、サッカー始めたりもうイタリア人、特にこの地方の人のゆるさは相当ナイス！
僕も何年ぶりかに芝生で寝たな。。ホントにのどか。

Them, Boo, and I spread out a blanket on top of a grassy hill. We napped and drank beers; at first there were five of us. But then, friend after friend came and before you knew it, in all there were about 20 people; playing soccer and...
the Italian ability to go with the flow, especially in this area, is really nice! It’s been years since I sleep in the grass. It was so peaceful.

夜のパーティーはホントに不思議なトラブルが連続で起こり、ちょっと凹む場面もあったけど、
みんなスーパー楽しんでたしOK。僕は不完全燃焼気味だけど、まーこういう夜もある。
一番難しいのは、自分的にあがり切れなかったのにおっそろしく賞賛され、握手やハグ、キス
写真攻めに合うのはちょっと居心地悪いし、納得も行かない。しかし、それでも、まーこういう夜もある。

兎に角、分かったのはイタリア人は意外と日本人に近い部分あるなと。素敵な人たち。

という訳で、今日はおやすみなので、ホントはヴェネツィアで一泊してロンドンに向かうつもりだったけど、
ここで出来た友達とここでもう一日過ごしたくなったので、バッサーノにステイ、あー今日も飲むのかな。。

The party that night had lots of little mysterious problems and some slightly depressing moments but everyone had a great time, so it’s OK! I was on the verge of a crash and burn-out, but I thought to myself, ”Some nights are just like this.” But the hardest part is accepting the praise when you haven’t had the best night; the handshakes and hugs, the kisses and people constantly asking for pictures… you feel out of place and less than satisfied. But even that as it is, some nights are just like this. Something else I found out, in some ways, Italians are similar to Japanese. They are very nice people. So anyway, that is all for tonight. I had really planned on spending one night in Venice before returning to London, but because of the friends I made here, I might just spend another day drinking here in Bassano.
